It's called the frequency illusion. It's just because you've chosen a particular thing so you're aware of it where you weren't before! Baby names, dog breeds, car model etc
Tillie is super cute! I’ve definitely not heard many with that name. We’ve chosen a name that there’s about 1000 people named the same in the world but theres a very similar name (also not popular but definitely more “normal”) but it’s pronounced differently. Everyone says her name wrong even though it’s a say it how you spell it name 🤣 We did know this would happen but we love it, my poor little girl is going to have a life of correcting people 😅 xx

Yep! Our little girl is called Wren, and now meet so many people saying they know a Wren 😂

Aw love the name Tillie and I have never met one! 🩷 she is beautiful 🥹 We also deliberately chose a name that you don't often hear (Fearne) but I think the "Fern" variation is on the rise so I think my little one is also going to have a lifetime of correcting people 😂 xx
I've had that with this baby 'Lottie' but my older daughter Lydia still never hear it anywhere 🙌

I have the opposite, thought my boys name was fairly regular but people keep saying they have never heard it before 😂 (Finnick, but known as Finn predominantly)

Had someone from my hometown who I’m friends with on social media choose the same name as I did for their little girl after I announced it (Bristol). I live 24hrs away from there now but it still bugs me😂
