Advice Needed

Hello all, yesterday I had my baseline scan, she said all was good to begin treatment. I started on 2.5mg of letrozole today, and will continue to take for the next 5 days (until cd 9). I go back in next Thursday, cd 12, for my mid-cycle scan & for the trigger shot, if needed. This is my first medicated cycle and I’m quite nervous. Did anyone end up not needing the trigger shot and have a successful cycle? How many cycles did it take you? How is getting the trigger shot? They prescribed me pregnyl. Any advice and tips that anyone has would be great!

Im currently on my first letrozole cycle. I had an IUI this past tuesday and did not need a trigger shot. Currently, 3 dpiui so i dont know if this cycle is a success or not. But i had a previous IUI with clomid and needed a trigger shot and that cycle failed. So it pretty much depends on if your body looks like it will ovulate naturally or not. I know that when i went to my mid cycle scan my follicle was measuring 22.32mm on june 7th and they said im going to ovulate on my own so no need for a trigger shot which i got my peak on june 10th and had iui on june 11th

That's exactly how it was for me. The day i got my peak which was cd14, I had what i believe was ovulation spotting and then the next day, I was cramping in my left ovary which was where the dominant follicle was. Im getting my bloodwork done today to test my progesterone levels to see if i ovulated or not

Good luck!! I have had 2 pregnancies from letrozole and never used the trigger shot. For me, I needed a higher dose at 7.5 for success but got pregnant round #2 with my daughter, and round #3 with my current pregnancy. Please let me know if you have any specific questions!

Just an update. So I had my progesterone blood test yesterday and they were looking for a number greater than 3 and mines was at 15.6 ng/ml which the nurse said is wonderful! So ovulation has been confirmed and detected accurately. I was on 5mg of letrozole from cd 3-7. Had IUI with no trigger and is currently 7dpiui today.

I got pregnant with just letrozole on my 2nd cycle of 2.5mg. Unfortunately it was an ectopic. I tried next cycle with the trigger shot and I'm currently 20 weeks pregnant
