Escitalopram (Lexapro) when TTC/pregnant

Hi mums, Has anyone taken escitalopram (Lexapro) when pregnant or TTC? Can I please have your experiences with it and how was your pregnancy/baby etc. My doctor thinks I should go on it (I feel fine) but I am just a bit worried about taking it if I get pregnant. I wasn't on any medication when we had our first baby so it feels a bit different this time around. TIA.

I was on lexapro during ttc and early pregnancy, I went off it in my second trimester as I was feeling great, had bad ppa and am now on Zoloft as it’s the most researched for pregnancy/bf safety

Essentially - it’s safe, there’s just more data on Zoloft because it’s an older drug

Was on it (still am) and had no issues with pregnancy or anything

Yep, it’s safe to be on 😊

I take 20mg Escitalopram daily including during pregnancy and bub was born healthy and fine but he had jitters/shakes for the first couple of days. The paediatrician said it’s due to the escitalopram.

I've been on Lexapro for years - so while TTC, all through my pregnancies, and while breastfeeding too. There weren't any issues for us 😊

I have been on lexapro my whole pregnancy and breastfeeding journey and have have noticed no issues in my baby.
