I joined their online club, walked in and said we were here to do the birthday bear, said no to the upsell package, and then gave the email id registered with at the till. Was really simple and lovely.

They just asked for my email address

You need to make a build a bear account and add the kids to the account then give them the details at the shop. Really simple and worth it.
@Jessica yep have done all that a little while ago. Just wasn’t sure if you get an email or anything during the birth month or whether you just go and tell them at the store
