When to test?

According to my app, which I know isn’t the most accurate, my peak ovulation was the 27th. My period normally comes early though it hasn’t yet and I already think I feel some symptoms but I also don’t want to sike myself out. When do you think the earliest I could I test is that what show a positive? Thank you!💕

I would test now. Good luck ❤️💗

You are more patient than me: I would be testing daily from 6dpo. I would go ahead and test and keep testing until AF arrives

I would always start testing too early around 7dpo then was heartbroken when they were negative 🥴 🤦 I got my first positive at 9dpo with my new baby! Everyone’s different though, I would test now lol

Today it would be very good xxx

Your period was over 8 days, and you ovulated the next day? Is your cycle usually 23 days?

@Yog that’s when the app predicted I would ovulate, I’m not sure if I actually did or not as I didn’t take any ovulation tests. No, I have PCOS so my cycle is irregular but it is usually around 27/28

@Jaidyn Lockwood that’s a very short follicular phase to ovulate the day after your lining has finished. If you are tracking 27/28 cycles you must have tracked shorter ones for FLO to predict a 23 day cycle, account for an 8 day bleed and predict ovulation when it did. In conclusion I’d keep an open mind and hope you BD more than enough to account for a margin of error. 😊 Testing wise. Unless you know when your period is actually coming, you can start testing when you want to, but again keep an open mind that you might get a BFN if it’s too early. X

@Yog I guess I’m confused where you see 23? For may i got my period the 15th so had a 27 day cycle before that and then for June i am supposed to get it tomorrow so would be a 28 day cycle. I have had shorter and longer day cycles logged before though due to my PCOS. I am still fairly new to tracking and the logistics of it all, my 1st son was a surprise lol Can you explain to me more what the follicular phase is and what BD and BFN mean? Thank you so much!

@Jaidyn Lockwood i assumed you had started your period on the logged days we can see. 19-26th which is an 8 day period. More if you started on the 15th. That’s a very long period. The red circles are bleed days. Then the dotted line says you ovulated the next day? Could you have inputted your bleed days incorrectly?

BD = baby dancing BFN = is “big fat negative”, an acronym everyone uses to describe a negative test. A BFB is a “big fat positive”.

Your follicular phase is the amount of time it takes for your follicles to grow, one dominant one to mature and the others die off. An egg is then released usually on day 14 on a 28 day cycle. See how yours poses some questions?
