IUI vs IVF donor sperm

What’s the difference between the two types? My first baby was conceived through IVF and we really want to go for another try but the donor we picked now only has IUI sperm. Really don’t want to pick a different donor. Any way we can use IUI sperm for IVF procedure? I’m new to this! Help!

You would have to ask your clinic if you could use that sperm that’s odd to me that they have sperm designated to different procedures. A IUI they insert sperm into your uterus while you either naturally ovulate or use medication to ovulate and you know what IVF is because you have done it haha

IUI sperm has to be processed different than sperm for IVF. IUI sperm has to be washed of the seminal fluid because that is irritating to the uterus.

Most clinics can use any for ivf just ask them. Generally ivf sperm is lower motility and iui is higher and therefore more expensive. Iui can come unwqshed as mentioned above so just ask if you clinic can prep it (usually they can)

The samples are processed differently so I would check with your clinic
