Contraceptive pills and extreme weight gain
I started taking contraceptive pills (desogestrel) a month after giving birth. Then I noticed that I gained back almost 7kg in 3 months. I have never been this heavy in all my life (80kg).
I stoped taking the pills or any kind of contraceptive 2 months ago, I went on diet and exercise but nothing seems to work.
However my period came back today for the first time postpartum.
I was wondering if I am going to get back to my normal weight someday.
Anyone has experience this and have any advice?

I had that with pills too...they just messed up my system; extreme weight gain and water retention. U had to stop using them
I stopped 2 months ago. Hopefully I will get back to my normal weight.

I’ve had that when I took a certain contraceptive pill but when I change to a different one I believe it was called Ava it helped. But I’m on the implant and works great for me
