Can someone explain or give examples on how accidental pregnancies occur?

No Im not talking SA or birth control failure. Im wondering how one can willingly have unprotected sex and how a man can willingly nut in the vagina knowing that woman is not on birth control and doesn’t take a plan b the next morning and calls it an “accident”. Like nah you was trying or just being reckless. Unless…. I’m missing something. What am I missing here?

🥹😬🤣 You woke up hit incognito and chose violence, huh?! 🤔 I have never been accidentally pregnant, both my kids were planned and currently TTC, and STILL I know when to mind my business and not ask questions behind a mask of anonymity that I know are inflammatory. But have a blast with the comments, Judgy Wudgy!

Some people don't do good with birth control and some people don't like condoms. I'm not people

Ours wasn’t accidental, more unplanned. I hadn’t been on birth control for almost 5 years. We had tried for a year or two but just assumed that something was wrong with 1 or both of us. Almost 1825 days of having unprotected sex frequently and “shooting up the club” lol and then one day I cried because he didn’t want to get a burrito bowl but he would sit with me while I ate one. Took a pregnancy test and it was definitely accidental that my little boy is here now 🙃 But sex education is lacking heavily in the US. A lot of us graduate high school without understanding ovulation.

Ours wasn’t exactly “accidental” mainly unplanned. My first was a surprise because I had such irregular periods my entire life and we’d tried for 7 years and I not once ever got pregnant then boom, I found out I was pregnant 2 months into being pregnant 😂 My second one I was tracking my ovulation as I HAD been regular postpartum from our son but I suppose I ovulated early that ninth month and ended up getting pregnant first time having actual sex PP. Definitely weren’t unwanted pregnancies by any means, just surprises!

Obviously SA or failed birth control like you mentioned. But also broken condoms, pull-out method but the man didn't realize he release precum which can still have semen, and I'm sure there are more.

Same here as the other women for us. We were told we couldn’t conceive naturally after a fertility assessment so stayed off birth control. Over 4 years later bean is happily growing away! So very unplanned but also very much loved with us!

Sometimes accidents happen. Drug interactions with BC, broken condoms, plan B doesn't always work. Sometimes it's purposeful, one person isn't trying to get pregnant and the other is and messes with birth control and condoms. Or crazy MILs sabotage birth control, heard that story. Women being told they're infertile and will never conceive, then they end up pregnant. Nothing works 100% except... not having sex or sex with someone who can't get you pregnant. Which, be reasonable. Most heterosexual people will have sex.

Do you understand that every man has a precum from which you can get pregnant ? And if someone deciding to use pull out method as a birth control, needs to understand and woman also have to track the cycle. We used a pull out method for 7 years and when we wanted a baby it took us only one time and I was pregnant. But not everyone are lucky 😅

Grown adults still thinking the pull out method works, more than half of them aren’t tracking their cycles 😂😭people don’t wear protection or even use some form of birth control and be shocked that they’re pregnant 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣

I guess for some there are genuine ‘accidents’ as no contraception is 100% but for a lot they just aren’t being careful enough. I know plenty of people, including one woman who has 5 children yet every single time it’s ’oops, an accident’. Yet they don’t use birth control so absolutely not an accident 🙄

@Mya I was on birth control when I got pregnant and also took Plan B after sex. Definitely a happy accident.

@Nika 😂😂😂 best response

I took my birth control on time every day. It was the mini pill though because I was still nursing so I think that played a part. I used to roll my eyes at people that claimed to get pregnant while taking the pill correctly. And then life humbled me

My hubs and I did that! We called it not planning. I wasn't on birth control since September ish of 2022. I ended up pregnant in October of 2023. I don't feel like you can call that "accidental" because unless you have fertility issues...you know it's bound to happen SOMEtime...like EVENTUALLY! Right?

got 1 period postpartum and had sex a few days after. i didn’t even think it was my period. i thought it was still pp bleeding. got pregnant w my second right at 4m pp
