Has anyone used this pill to stop periods? It says to take 3 times a day?? How many hrs do I leave it? I thought it would be one pill to take? Also I don’t know exactly when I’m going to come on… feel like it could be today or tomorrow will this matter ?

Northisterone is progesterone tablets, they’re often used in ivf to control when you come on and I’ve taken them 3x daily for that reason.
So I got given it at the chemist to stop my period while I go on holiday
As Amy said, it’s used regularly within IVF. As a rule of thumb, if it’s 3 times a day you take it 8 hourly. I used it during IVF and it made me NUTS!
Start taking it now as you start you can’t stop it… I’d say take every 6 hours.. 9am, 3pm, 9pm something like that… You probably will have a bad period after but worth it for holiday

I have never seen that in my life (or heard that name), I’ve been taking the pill for 10 years and it’s one a day. Hmm that sounds overly complex and tbh more likely to fail due to strict timings. Is there a reason you were prescribed that one?
