Go to fake “treat”

So my numbers have been easily controlled this pregnancy with diet. But that diet has to be my plate consisting of 50-75% veggies and the rest being a protein (ie chicken steak fish etc) anything else makes my numbers wild. I have not found a “fake treat” that works for me. With my 1st I was able to eat a PBJ once a day and it didn't affect my numbers and I would treat that as my “sweet” treat for the day. And if I have having a super good numbers day and meals I would treat myself to a mini can of cherry coke in a large glass of ice because it made me feel like my drink was more than 2 sips lol. But this pregnancy every fake treat I have tried has sent my numbers crazy. So what is everyones fake treat?

I used to do the same I enjoyed my pb&js. I go to the candy aisle get sugar free Reese’s peanut butter cup or Russel stover chocolates it didn’t affect my numbers too much. Or I really enjoyed oikos zero sugar yogurt with keto granola

I have been enjoying the Fit crunch peanut butter chocolate wafer bars. They remind me of a nutty bar but with 16 g of protien. I also got some of the premier protein root beer float shakes and I'll throw one in the freezer for 20 minutes so it gets a little slushy.

I got the fairlife chocolate milk because chocolate milk was my main craving every night

I’d literally have a chocolate protein pudding or dark chocolate (80%) bar every day to get my fix 😂 protein powder/supplements are still controversial in pregnancy but that seems to be if using as a substitution for a balanced diet so I got comfortable as everything else I had was healthy, definitely do your own research though if you want to try them! x

I found some diabetic sugar free chocolate that has been a dream! It’s called Wizards Chocolate and you can buy it from Holland and Barratt 🙂

Solero ice-cream has been fine for me - after a healthy meal. Not spiked me once so that's my go to treat atm
