Starting Father's day gift tradition ideas?

I am looking for inspiration to create an annual father's day gift tradition. Something low key but still sweet. We aren't really gift people, we buy what we need when we need it. Don't enjoy having unnecessary things. And we just had our first baby so I want to start a tradition I can add to every year. Something similar I've found is a picture every year with child holding letters that say DAD. But my MIL is really into pictures which has made hubby not all that into them. Looking for inspiration or other ideas.

I love that you’re thinking about this! When I was little, I painted a plate for my dad that was only used on Father’s Day (it said happy Father’s Day and I signed it on the back with a little message), and my mom and I would cook him a special dinner that he requested. It’s wasn’t much but it was always special to him. If there is a way to incorporate a homemade gift into a tradition that is always nice!!

I just saw a Tik Tok of an ongoing card, it’s essentially a book and you get your child/ children to decorate a page each year for Father’s Day it’s on @drashleytop page x

Hand foot prints

I’ve ordered my partner a personalised daddy and me book from wonderbly. It was a little pricey for a book. But thought it would be nice to make a collection over the years as our girl gets older. We also got a 20% off voucher when we ordered of if you did find one you like x

Last year, I wasn't married (to my now husband) because we were just dating, but I ordered a personalized blanket of him and his son. This year, I did a $13 (with shipping) pillowcase of him and said son. I just barely ordered a second pillowcase for him of our baby boy I'm currently pregnant with that won't get here until after Father's Day, but I think it'll be sentimental. I'm going to get a couple pillows for $10 at Walmart on Monday. I like finding things that I know he will use. Idk what I'll do next year, maybe a blanket of the two boys and him together? We'll see haha! I hope you find something meaningful for your husband! 😊

i order my partner a key chain it’s only little and then next year i do the same with updated pics of them. I keep the old chain in her memory box 😊

We get some pottery with her hand print
