Waiting for my edd credit card to come in. It's taking forever. Any body had any issues in receiving it through the mail?

Mine took 2-3 weeks from when I originally applied. But it eventually came in!

Have they already issued you a payment? I heard it comes within the week AFTER your first payment has been ‘paid’

I waiting well after my application was submitted before I got anything in the mail. But EDD messed up on a couple things on their end so I’m pretty sure that’s why it took so long. But once it got straightened out the card came in like 2 weeks or so.

@Melissa well I applied back in April I took a few weeks to get my paper work submitted due to them making me appeal but at the end they cleared it due to it being a error on their end. I went in last week , and they said to give it 14 days to receive the credit card. I believe I should be geting back pay if I applied in April excluding the first week since they never pay the first week

@Ariel yeah similar situation with me. But you do get the payback for the time that you have been waiting except for the waiting period.

@Ariel if there’s a payment on your claim that’s been issued and you haven’t received your card yet I would call them and see what the hold up is. I see a lot of posts on FB with people saying their card gets stolen in the mail or the funds get stolen from the card. Just be careful and try to get a clear answer or request a check.

@Melissa I'm going to give it the 14 days after I will go in even if I have to wait 4 hours to be seen . I can never get in contact with anybody thru the phone.

@Ariel If you haven’t been successful in calling you can call your State Assembly persons office ask them to open a case for you. They have direct access to EDD. https://findyourrep.legislature.ca.gov/

@Melissa never heard of this. Can I get more details

Mine too i was put back on disability by my obgyn and that was almost a month ago I hope it comes soon

@Ariel you can either call your state assembly person or submit a request for them to contact you and a representative will get your authorization to reach out to EDD on your behalf. You let them know the situation or your concern with your claim and they speak with EDD for you and usually clear things up for you if your payment is on hold or if there’s further action needed from you. I use this resource often if I can’t get through on the phone.
