Not too late but you are quickly running out of time before it will be quite confusing for them

If they don't seem to know their name yet I'd say do it, if you are really sure. Ours was changed when he was under a year old and I'm glad we did it.

No it’s not too late if you have a regret and your child doesn’t know their legal name yet versus pet names. If you’re going to do it, better to switch now than later. You don’t owe anyone else explanations. So just do what’s best for your child. 😊
