I got all the side effects you mentioned on the combined pill but didn't on the mini pill. Hope it works for you x
I've been on the mini pill for a week and so far so good. I use to experience extreme chest pain and headaches on the pill before which is also why I stopped. but so far on the mini pill I haven't experienced anything
I was on the mini pill for years and had no problems with Desogestrel. I had very minimal bleeding the whole time I was on it and no side effects, everyone’s different but it was great for me, hopefully it will be for you too! ☺️x
Single hormone pills are meant to be better for your mental health. My GPs have always been surprised I stayed on the combined pill because I have chronic depression and the combined pill isn't meant to be good for people with depression. I was conceived on the mini pill so I am a bit wary of it.
I started to get migraines on the combined pill so had to take the mini pill instead. Gives me low moods, I get really down and not wanting to do anything. My sex drive goes. Periods pretty much stop which is good. I came off it and got pregnant the same month after having sex twice so it doesn't affect fertility.
Thank you everyone , Sounds like it's a better pill than I thought overall. My previous pill didn't do me good emotionally. So I shall see how this one does for me x If I got pregnant when on this pill..I woudnt be too worried. I would gladly have another close in age to my current baby but I'd just prefer them to be further apart ideal...a year and a half in-between at least 😅
I’ve largely been on the mini pill, I tried the other pill when I was 16 and gave me mega migraines and 25 years later have not looked back on the mini pill! When I came off it I didn’t see much difference either other than a higher libido 😂 but everyone has different reactions to contraceptives, I guess what I would say is the mini pill has one less hormone in it than the other one.
