Adopting a baby off a friend questions
My friend is pregnant and is willing to let me adopt their baby … what are the rules that I need to know or the process I should follow ? We live in different states btw so how does that work too

Yes just to make sure you are covered and everything is done right. You never really know people might have change of heart and want the child back. You just wanna make sure you are good
I would not only speak to a lawyer, but I would make sure the whole process is carried out by a lawyer. So all intentions are clear and signed. This will cover any issues further down the road.
I would speak to your friend ask her to find an adoption agency and then either have them contact you or vice versa. That way everything can be done through the agency.
