Baby Boy Name

Found out we are having a Boy & found a name we like, but our daughter hates it. I wasn't super happy when we found out we were pregnant. My husband & I had a talk that same day before I got a surprise positive test that we were done with babies, we had our 2 & were going to get a vasectomy for him & tie/remove my tubes or even go for a hysterectomy if I could (bad family history). So trying to feel better about the whole thing, I was looking for boy names after we found out the gender that relate to Happiness, Blessing & Miracle because we had tried 5 years for our second & both have fertility issues (told we wouldn't conceive again without clomid or other interventions after our son) One name we fell in love with & plan to use is Seeley. We love the name, but our daughter thinks it's dumb & he's going to get picked on. I like the name for it's meaning, it's not something I've heard before & was wondering if it really sounds dumb.

Asher Seeley 🧡

I like it!

Our friend just passed & our plan is to go with Seeley Travis in honor of him

Reminds me of Seeley Booth off the show Bones! I personally love the name because of Bones 😅 How old is your daughter who doesn't like it? I don't think I'd let my kids dictate what name to use. They will have their chance to name their kids one day (if that's what they want in life). Use the name you love.

@Laura I thought of the same! I loved Seeley!

I like it but personally would never use it. Kids are mean to each other and this name would for sure be made fun of

If your kid doesn’t get made fun of his name, he’ll get made fun of for something else. Kids are brutal and will always find something. Seely is a perfectly acceptable name.

Use as middle name?

How old is your daughter? I think you should go with what you like.

@Minna 11 almost 12, I think it's mostly because she has a more common name (she has a different dad than my other 2 & coming up with a name was a fight with him) plus she wanted a sister this time around & is disappointed she's having another brother

@Laura I honestly forgot about his name being Seeley Booth, I love the name & my daughter's name is Hannah & she has been picked on about her name before. It seems silly to worry about because she's saying her other brother will be picked on for his name, too (Killian, I'm mostly Irish & picked an Irish name)

Listen to your daughter.

I like it actually and it’s not something I would normally choose. You could do Travis as the first but if you’re looking for unique and fun seeley is a good one.

I REALLLLLLY wanted to make my boy AMEN ANTHONY. amen because I had prayed and prayed for a baby for years. And when you pray, at the end you usually say amen to close out the prayer. In faith and in agreement with God. So naming him Amen would have been the close out to the prayer in living form ❤️ my made the mistake of telling my sister and she laughed it off and said no. That’s not a good name. Which I don’t understand since she is way more “religious” than me. My husband wasn’t very fond of it either. It made me so sad.
