Hey, my nurse only said to take prenatals and maintain a balanced diet but my acupuncturist said a few things. Keep the stomach area warm (i.e. a vest or 2 pairs of knickers). Steamed vegetables over cold salads and red meat for iron content were the main things and then usual things like reduction of cakes, sweets, crisps, processed snacks. All the best on your journey xx

For clarity are you doing a retrieval or a transfer? Eastern medicine says to eat different things for each. Retrieval - eat red meat and eggs, keep your torso warm Transfer - lots of soups, no heat on your torso, keep your feet warm

Thank you @Midey and @Sara k I’m doing retrieval. I started cutting down on carbs and switched to wheat bread or brown rice. Should I continue with that?

That’s great!!! And if you are doing dairy whole milk versus low fat is best. Or dairy alternatives if you can.

This info is so useful. I’m due to start on Monday. I’m so nervous too! Wishing you the best of luck with it all x

I had a lot of nausea and bloating from Day3 of stims but eating protein little and often really helped along with ginger tea. Best of luck!

Cut out caffeine

This info is so useful, I am about to start IVF medications tomorrow as well, it’s good to know there are others who are just at the beginning of this journey too

I was supposed to start this week but my follicle count was low during the baseline appointment so it’s been delayed another month. 😢 My doc also wants me to go on estrogen priming before the start of the next cycle. Has anyone done it before?
