Eid gifts

Buy clothes for kids and toy they are young at the moment. Give gifts to cousins similar age, nothing to the adults. Usually try to attend Eid prayer outside if one is running in the area, otherwise pray and then meet up with wider family

So on Eid ul fitr which is the Eid after Ramadan, we give money to all the kids in the family and buy new clothes for ourselves and our children to wear. For Eid ul adha which is the Eid after hajj, we tend to give presents and on this Eid we don’t tend to buy new clothes but we ensure they’re complete clean. There is no compulsion in Islam to buy new clothing. As long as they’re clean, they’re fine

We do secret Eidi between the adults for 1 eid ( when i celebrate with my family) and keep a reasonable budget for it. We give gifts or money to the kids on both ends. We all wear new clothing on both eids.

Adults in our immediate family gets/gives small gifts to eachother and the adults give kids gifts. All other kiddos get some cash.
