Anyone planning on still using natural cycles?

Is anyone who got pregnant whilst using natural cycles (whether on TTC or contraception mode) still going to use it to prevent pregnancy after baby has arrived? I feel like I’ve lost all faith in it for obvious reasons but I also feel like maybe it was user error. I’d stopped breastfeeding only a few months prior and was using an Apple Watch to track my temperature. I really don’t want to go back on hormonal birth control.

I’m not sure because it says you have to have had 4 hours consistent sleep before measuring and I can’t see myself getting that anytime soon lol

@Charlotte I think this may have been my issue. From what I’ve read about using natural cycles with the Apple Watch it was meant to take sleep consistency into account but obviously something went wrong (in the best way, luckily I’m very happy to be pregnant)

Yes any time it’s less than 4 hours you gotta put slept differently which is obviously well difficult postpartum with a cluster feeding baby but I’m definitely not ready for another lol ! Congrats on your pregnancy xx

@Charlotte that’s specifically why I bought the Apple Watch as it said it does all of that for you. Apparently not 😅 Thank you, it’s only a few months earlier than we planned on trying for another anyway so all worked out perfectly 💕

100%! I’m such an advocate for using NC. I did 5 years as contraception (it only failed once and it was the month I had COVID and seemingly I ovulated twice) and now TTC. I love it!

@Abbie I used it for contraception for a year and TTC for my first and it worked perfectly. I recommended it to everyone. It failed on contraception this time which I’m happy with but I absolutely do not want any more kids after this one so scared to keep using it now 😅

Totally get that. It’s difficult because no contraception is 100% (not even sterilisation) so it’s really just what works best for you and your situation
