Confused

So me and my partner are sort of TTC baby #2, I’m not ovulation testing and just going with the flow to avoid stress as my last cycle lasted 39 days. Anyway, AF showed up today on day 29 so seems like my cycles have gone back to normal for me. However we did the deed around 3/4 days BEFORE my predicted ovulation day. As far as I know, isn’t ovulation around 14 days before your period, if so, I would have ovulated just after having sex? I know it’s not all accurate but is there a chance I ovulated later as my last cycle was 39 days. FLO app said I ovulated on CD16 we did the deed CD13 and now AF showed up on CD29. Also, as my son sometimes co-sleeps it’s difficult to BD hence not actively trying. Any advice would be great thanks😁

Ovulation is typically 14-16 days before your period if you have a normal length luteal phase ☺️

Thank you! So is there a chance I may have missed the window to conceive?

If you ovulated CD16 and BD a on CD13 you still made it in time, but there’s only a small percentage of chance each month! So you could do it everyday and still not conceive (which I’m sure you know lol!) xx

Ah I see! It’s my first time kinda TTC as we weren’t trying with my first. I didn’t realise how difficult it can be, but tbh I’m not even ovulation testing and I know apps are not 100%

Absolutely! It’s hard to know for certain without any testing as ovulation can change every month. I think each month has roughly 20% of conception, but I’m currently on 1 year of ttc🥴
