Coparenting

How do you co parent with a newborn? I don’t want to be away from him at all when he’s born…

don't put him on the birth certificate or give the baby his last name! that is YOUR baby! especially if you're breastfeeding! i've had to deal with this so im here to talk

It's honestly difficult. It took me a couple weeks being okay with my bf taking the baby for a couple minutes. Just have open communication and let them know how you feel. Hopefully they will be understanding

@Ashlynn I don't think they meant separation. I think they meant just not wanting to let go of their baby for a couple minutes

@Liana no I’m pretty sure their separated based on previous posts she’s made

Definitely communicate and make everything about the child. Not every child gets both parents in their life so if you can give them the opportunity, I think that’s great. Just mentally prepare yourself that it will be hard, and set boundaries. But most importantly make every decision about what’s best for the child and not specifically you or his feelings. A lot of people tend to start putting their emotions over the child’s and that’s when it becomes messy. You 2 won’t always agree with everything but communicate and respect each other and you’ll figure it out!
