Do I just leave it or wipe around with alcohol?

Don't use alcohol for sure. That would burn and sting like crazy. Contact Peds Dr and see if soap and water are OK or just want you to monitor. Probably still sponge bathe for now also.
Leave it be and keep dry. Should scab in a few days
I put gauze and neosporin over my babies and it looked normal the next day! Hers fell off at 5 days

As long as its not getting infected or excessive bleeding , warm to the touch than just clean the area also let her pediatrician know my daughter had the same thing happen it actually fell off in 7 days and i was super worried my other babies didnt have any bleeding nor did it look fresh it was all dried up ..
