IUD

i’m 7 weeks PP and i’m getting the 5 year IUD on Thursday. anyone else get and IUD that soon after and want to help me mentally prepare for the pain? i’m scared lol 😅

I got my IUD at 8 weeks PP. The insertion was uncomfortable but quick, like a bad cramp. Took deep breaths and had someone watch the baby so I could relax after. Just take it easy that day. You'll do great! 😊

I had an IUD before getting pregnant and I’m not gonna lie it was PAINFUL. I’d never ever get one again 😅 but apparently it’s not as sore after you’ve had a child 🤷🏻‍♀️

For me it hurt with the speculum. The iud was nothing for me then again I had one prior to having a baby. Just relax it’s okay. Let the provider know if it hurts. They can stop
