Is a photoshoot a good Father’s Day gift?

I feel like I wouldn’t know what to get my baby father/bf for Father’s Day so I booked us a family photoshoot. Should I keep it as a surprise or should I tell him so that he’s prepared😫

Is he into photography or sentimental things? I think I would take that into account if he would like it as a gift. I would tell him in advance so he can get prepared (hair cut/done) etc

@Daija this is his first Father’s Day. He’s not really use to sentimental things. I just thought it would be something simple since he’s not really into that. And maybe we’ll go out to eat or something afterwards

My husband finds family photos to be very stressful each time we do them. He’s grateful for the pictures but hates the experience of doing it. So I would definitely warn him

Does the photographer offer vouchers? Maybe a voucher in a card is still a nice idea. I’d personally tell them in advance, speaking as a photographer a lot of men are kind of awkward in front of the camera and that would probably be worse if they had no mental prep time

For my husband it would be a day of hell but I guess everyone is different haha

@Nicole photoshoots can be a lot of work with a baby sometimes. I think I would try to do another activity or have a small back up gift incase it doesn’t go as smoothly

If he's not a massive fan of having his photo taken, tell him ahead of time so he's prepared. My husband hates photos and isn't super sentimental, but he'd do it for me haha. Make something cute with your kid as an extra present just for him.

@Michelle baby will be only 6 weeks by then 😫

@Nicole you can make something with a newborn. Framed handprints?
