Wee after sex

Does having a wee after sex have any impact on trying to conceive? I try to stay laying down for 10 mins but then I have to go for a wee, as if I don’t I seem to always get a UTI. Obviously then when I wipe straight after, there is a lot on the tissue - could this have a negative affect on TTC?

No

I have uti predisposition as well but you're not likely to get a UTI from just 30 mins lying down. I conceived so quick despite having v bad chances with pcos, endometriosis, adenomyosis, the works. So I stayed with legs in the air and manifesting meditation for 30 mins but I also used a fertility which is basically a diva cup. It keeps the sperm there and the company claims you can pee while using it. That didn't work for me and I lost the device in the toilet when I tried to pee but maybe another version will stay in place for you and then you don't have this issue. I never managed to pee less than 30 mins after sex I need more time to process half a litre of water (which is what I usually think I need to pass before going to sleep to avoid a uti). Also I really recommend d mannose powder mixed in water to avoid utis if you don't know about it already. Its safe for pregnancy as well

It’s absolutely fine to move around after sex, the sperm is ejaculated so fast that they get to where they need to, and the ones that fall out are the dead ones that wouldn’t have made it anyway. It’s a myth to stay laying/with legs up 🤪

There’s no scientific evidence at all that remaining in bed/with legs up etc after sex helps with conception so I’d go ahead and empty your bladder - especially if you’re prone to UTIs!
