This has nothing to do with my kid but I need a response from my fellow ladies. Bactrim or Macrobid for UTI? I’ve read some scary things about Bactrim.

i am pretty sure I had macrobid because they were doctor prescribed and they were yellow and black pills and i didnt have any side effects

I’m allergic to bactrim so I’ve always had macrobid and it wreaks havoc on my stomach but it’s kind of my only option for UTIs. Not sure for a baby.

@Jessyca yup that’s what they gave me, the yellow and black capsules.

Depends what the culture and sensitivity comes out like . That will determine which one will attack the infection

@Chy’nna Haden hahahaha ohhh gotcha. Well I had the allergic reaction as a baby so that’s probably why my brain went there 😆

@Juanita they said both would work for me it was up to me which one I felt comfortable taking

Macrobid might be a bit more efficient
