It was a clinic in Essex called Simply Fertility but I think they have some more in other places. I just got the cost for what would need doing to see why we couldn't keep a baby but not gone ahead with it yet.

I chose a multi-cycle package with Care Fertility which included two rounds and all transfers for about £8.5k. That did not include the medications: stimulation injections were about £2k (this is different for everyone) and subsequent transfers were anywhere between £500 and £1500 depending on what meds they wanted to throw in for that transfer. We also paid for recurrent implantation failure tests (£1k) and PGT-A testing of six embryos (£3.5k). Altogether I think we spent about £16k and we never actually got to use the second cycle (if your first one is successful, you don’t get to use it and they wouldn’t let me bank embryos under the terms of the package). If you can, try to get your hormone tests, the sperm analysis, and any STI testing done on the NHS before you go to the clinic. That will save you some money and speed up the process. £6k with the nhs as I wasn’t able to get it for free. I was quoted £10k with care fertility. I went private for my fertility testing and paid for a consultation of treatment with them too, which for me and the man came to about £600. Nice and quickly available, quicker then nhs. My private results speeded up the nhs path
@BiancaThank you so much Bianca, I also am unable to get it for free on the NHS. I didn’t realise you can still go down the NHS route and pay!? How long have you been waiting for NHS in total? Reason why I ask is I’ll be 37 soon….x
I was referred September 2022, for my 1st appointment august 2023, now completing treatment. Supposedly the initial wait was long due to covid but the backlogs are gone now. So it’s worth getting on their list I would say. I thought I’d end up private too but in the end there was only a couple of months in it and a big saving

@Sharon that’s the plan, I’ve had some blood work already and the next one is on June 3rd. Husband is awaiting his appointment. I actually have addisons and hypothyroidism (which are both hormone diseases anyway, so we already know that, so I wonder if that will also cut out some tests?!xx
Yeah maybe. I went to the nhs with our fertility results and scans from care and it seemed to speed up the nhs. So the more prepped you are the better
@Bianca how long has your wait been so far with the NHS?
I’ve said it above. Gp refered 2022, but I think it could all be done in up to 12 months with no covid backlog. Once I was properly involved in January, it’s took 5 months, to now. Eggs were collected yesterday
If you’ve already got a diagnosis for that, that’s helpful as it will probably inform the decisions they make later on. Be armed with a full list of your medications for your initial consultation. You’ll still need blood tests from (I think) day 2-4 and day 21 of your cycle too and it’s helpful to have those for your consult.
I was quoted for all tests for me and a sperm test for hubby was £564 x
