Cost of ivf

Question for those in the US: do you know any grants or programs that help with the cost of ivf? My insurance will cover the medications but that’s it. The fertility clinic quoted us like $25,000 and we don’t have that kind of money so we just feel kind of down and stuck.

You can always look into side jobs like walmart, startbucks etc that covers ivf costs as well. Without that coverage you're looking at it being very costly. With grants, the grants occur once or twice a year so its hard to easily get a grant. Wish i could provide more help.

You can take out a loan, online lending companies like LightStream offer family building loans. I have a loan through them (not for IVF) and they are very good. Not sure what your living situation is but there are states that offer 100% mandated coverage for IVF including New Jersey, New York,Delaware, DC. I’m in NJ and it’s 100% covered.

I’m in Maryland and it’s also mandated here but when I asked they said that since my insurance is through my federal govt job, it doesn’t have to so I would have to get Obama care for it to be covered

@Areej i would say to shop around to see your options with different insurance, it may be better to change insurance and have the coverage rather than paying out of pocket for everything through your employer's insurance

Look into CNY fertility. Their cost is really hard to beat...only catch is you will have to travel but even with the cost of traveling it's way less than any local clinic I could find. They also have a grant each month you can apply for and possibly win!! 😁
