I had it 3 times (8 years in total) Pro: never forget to take the pills, never had period pain Con: irregular periods
I am planning to get this as well.. Following to see other’s experiences
I plan on getting it as well I know the pros and cons I still plan on getting it, if I gain weight I’ll just try and work out
I had it in twice, the first time was absolutely fine no weight gain, no mood swings, regular periods etc. I think I was 19 the first time. I got it out at 22 back in at 23 after my first son was born and this time my hormones were all over the place I had to get it out after maybe 6 weeks? It’s no bother getting it in, it takes minutes. Getting it out though mine got stuck both times and the doctor/nurse had to give it a good pull for a few minutes which even though they numb the area, hurt! I think it’s different for everyone x
i just got mine in two weeks ago, so far i feel perfectly fine. My arm is a little sore still, but nothing else. The bruising was quite intense it like wrapped around my arm, but has subsided since.
Everyone’s different when I had it I bled constantly which as you can imagine was annoying af!
I had it for a year and I pretty much bled for the whole year.
I've had it twice... I had brown discharge for 3 years 😬

@Geri It’s not much of a great experience! Is it !? 🫢I know it can be different for everyone but I think I will just cancel my appointment and stick with pills (I hate taking pills) 🥹🥹🥹or Condoms (this just make sex boring 😅but what choice do I have 🥲)
@Carolina what a shame! 😳 I really don’t want anything to tamper with my hormones beacuse im sure they aren’t that great before! I use to have terrible acne’s I can’t imagine it coming back 🤣🤣🤣thank you for sharing ur experience
@Mankirat Kaur someone advise I should get IUD without hormones instead,I don’t know if my body will like it but I feel like if im scared of contractions tampering with my hormones,it makes sense to go with the one that doesn’t use hormones,right ?
I had it and was not good for me I got a lot of acne from it, I had to do isotretinoin (Roaccutane) that is a really strong acne treatment for 8 months after taking out the implant and gained a bit of weight too.
