Irregular periods

Since I’ve had my son my periods have been crazy sometimes I’m bleeding for 2 weeks and sometimes there’s barely any time between one period ending and the other starting I started taking the contraceptive desogestrel not long after I had him and when I mentioned this to the nurse because I thought it might be the pill that is causing this she just said to stick with it because everything should balance out, I’ll be phoning the gp tomorrow but I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced it

I was on this pill after giving birth and the same happened to me, sometimes I would have 2 days between periods 🤯. I stopped taking it as wanting to try for another baby soon and it took a good 3 months for my body to get back to my normal cycle

I’ve had to come off everything as of last week everything just makes me bleed for up to a month at a time then nothing for say 2 months! It’s honestly drained my entire life!

This makes me feel better! This has happened to me! I've been taking desogestral for nearly 2 months now after giving birth 4 months ago. I've currently been having light bleeding (brown) for just over 10 days now and was beginning to worry I have googled and it says it could be hormone changes and things x

@Georgi hi, sorry to jump in after a while, i just searched for desogestrel and this post came up..can i ask after you came off the pill if you still had some discharge? i came off around 2 weeks and still have brown discharge after constant bleeding when i was on it , so annoying..wondering if it’s normal
