We have a 2 yo and a 5m old and partner got snipped in April. It was always the plan and it was what he always wanted to do. I would say if you are definitely done at 2 then ask him if he would consider it. Just so happens for us that both my births were C sections, so extra risky for future unplanned pregnancies so im very grateful he did it. And he would never have seen me go through future surgery like tubes when it is so much more simple for the man to get snipped either.
@Cali may i ask why he wont do that? Not to worry you but we relied on condoms after our 2nd was born and we did get caught pregnant unexpectedly using them and was facing a very difficult choice but I lost it before having to choose, so the decision was made for us. It would never have been good for my body to carry for medical reasons and the getting caught like that terrified us. So i would consider BC above condoms and having a serious conversation with your partner about it all. My partner was always getting snipped after the 2 children as he wanted to.
Just commenting to say same….😩 I wish my husband would agree to a vasectomy because I do not want to be on birth control. I do not like the way it messes with my body. I’m really scared of relying on condoms and having an accident too😭 I’m 33 weeks so gotta think of something soon but until then abstinence it is! lol
