Letrozole Start

I’m starting Letrozole for the first time tonight and just wondering what others have experienced with taking this? We’ve had 2 chemicals and other testing has come back normal so currently sitting with an unexplained infertility diagnosis. Side effects? If others have experienced success with it and if so after how many cycles?

I’m only on day 4 of taking it myself so can’t talk about success yet, but one thing I’ve done is taken it in evening, before bed, a lot of people that had side effects said this helped and for me other than moodiness I’ve been okay so not sure if it’s Becos I taking it at night? Best of luck tho!!xx

@Kacie Thanks for the response, I really appreciate it! My provider suggested taking at night too so hoping that helps with minimizing side effects I notice.

@Samantha best of luck hun! If u have any questions on how things going can always pop me a message as a couple days ahead xx

@Kacie thanks so much I really appreciate it!🩷

A lot of women get diarrhea (I didn't but I'm famously constipated), and minor headache. I purposely took it at 10pm every night so I'd sleep through any acute symptoms. Good luck to you💙

I did 1 round on this and got my son back in 2020 I am currently cycle 2 of letrozole trying for baby #2 Good luck - how many mg are you taking? I'm taking 5mg (2 tablets) I also take before bed so if I were to have side effects then I am asleep for them

Hello! I wish you the best of luck!! I had really bad cramps using letrozole, I also really struggled with my mental health whilst using it and I know it was only for a few days but I felt awful and really numb. BUT I am now almost 8 weeks pregnant. I don’t know if you have any symptoms of low progesterone but I did (and wondered if that was my reason for a previous chemical?) so asked for the doctor to supplement my progesterone and they gave me cyclogest from 3DPO. I really had to advocate for it but it was definitely worth it!

@Julia ended up not really noticing anything!

@Trista it went good, didn’t notice anything really side effect wise. I did 5mg at night cycle days 3-7. Have my mid cycle ultrasound on Friday and will plan then when I’m taking trigger shot

@Georgia it went well! My provider left it up to me on starting progesterone and I’m holding off for now

Hi I was on this for 1 cycle and I am now pregnant I was diagnosed with mild PCOS. This is a magic pill?!!

@Nuran ahhh congrats! Fingers crossed this is all I’ll need!
