My husband and I went to city Hall and had my dad and a friend witness paid the city hall fees and that was that
But what about without having your own witnesses?
Hey so we eloped last year and I had asked my officiant what to do with witnesses. He said that he could bring his wife (that would count as one) and then we would need to find another I was thinking of having my girl friend be one. (Don’t have my family or many friends) and he doesn’t have any friends (or close ones at the time) I did find my officiant through the bc gov website you look for the town you want to be married in ie we were married in maple ridge so I found one for that town and we paid 75 and change, we did end up inviting his family so I still used my girl friend and he used his dad. How old are the children? (Basically could one of the children sign) Is there a couple that are close to you that would be a witness ? You could ask the officiant to bring their wife and a friend ? You only need two witnesses in BC Good luck!
