Im 6 weeks pp and planning on getting the non hormonal coil as I really want to avoid any hormones. Can anyone whos had it or currently has it give their opinions, please?

I’ve had 2. I found them very uncomfortable getting put it and a bit tender for the first day or 2 but after that they are great, you don’t need to think about them or anything. I’ll be getting one again when I’m able to
Hey girl I’m currently on the coil, 5 months pp got it in maybe two months ago now. The procedure itself I didn’t find that bad, compared to how everyone said it was worse but was the pinching of the cervix. Only side effect I’ve had is slightly heavier bleeding but nothing unmanageable so I’m loving it so far. I’ve also heard periods get lighter again after 6-12 months on the coil x

I had the copper coil just over a month ago. The procedure was uncomfortable but no worse than a smear. I’ve only had one period since as I’ve not had it in long and it was considerably heavier than normal but no more painful so I will just be prepared with higher absorbency tampons for next month x
