Christmas

I was in Walmart today shopping the clearance section and got a lot of expensive toys for like $7 or less for each and my ml asked me to go back and get her some toys for the other grandkids I didn’t mind doing it so I came back with it all and then I mentioned I was putting all the toys I got up for Christmas and mentioned this toy car from Bluey that’s battery powered for my baby for Christmas or her birthday She immediately goes and steal my idea and now I’m not getting it she is 🫠 this is exactly why I don’t tell her any of my ideas and I forgot she does this Then it’s hard not to share because she’s a extreme shopper she picks up everything in her face and buys it Now I’m not ungrateful I appreciate that she does this but it ruins holidays for me and my bf We’ve both told her to stop buying so much And she ignores us every time I really wanted to get that car for my baby and she already made plans to get it first thing in the morning

Before anyone ask I do Christmas shopping all year around so when December comes I don’t go running around I have gifts for everyone I just have to wrap it all lol

I would have went out and bought and told her that they were sold out… I’m a bit petty though. But I feel you on the buying.. my mil would t let us buy clothes for our daughter cause she wouldn’t flipping stop!!

@Lindsay girl mines do the same thing And she knows it’s not sold out she got two friends that works at Walmart both at two locations and they’ll hold items for her or keep her updated with what’s up there I’d go get it in the morning myself but I got a doctors appointment for my baby and I don’t hey paid for two weeks

What I mean by it’s hard not to share is if I don’t mention something that I plan to buy or already bought I won’t know if she had gotten it already or not She likes to keep gifts a secret even though it’s for my kid

My MIL is the same, we have an entire room filled with toys and clothes and my daughter is 3. This past Christmas wasn't any better, she got soo many toys outside of the list I made for the family to pick from and as they got gifts they told me so I could take it off the list. That was like pulling teeth, and then she got a ton of things on top of those toys. I can't even keep sets together, or organize things properly because there's SO MUCH. I have no idea what we're going to do with all the toys, because we can't even find certain toys she wants in all the bins! And then for her birthday last month she got a play kitchen with 100 pieces of food and plates and cups etc, it's at my MIL's house because we cannot fit it in our place 🙃

@Clarissa don’t feel bad I’m in the same spot my baby’s nursery is a wreck because she has too much and his mom thinks it’s okay to keep buying like we have the space for it Even my sister in law is complaining they starting giving the toys away even the brand new ones because it’s too much And the clothes are getting out of hand she buys the girls crop tops and they are all under three years old even got my four month old one and it’s sitting in a trash bag as we speak

Oh yeah I mean it's ridiculous, I'm 9 weeks pregnant and she doesn't know yet, but I'm nervous to tell her because she will buy everything all over again especially if it's a boy. I wish she would ask, I sent a picture to my SIL who is 39 and doesn't have kids yet and isn't married, and she went and showed it to my MIL and she said I was MESSY. I'm like maam, I'm not messy. There isn't enough room or storage for all these toys and stuffed animals and doll houses and buses and dinosaurs and baby dolls, what am I supposed to do? The closets are full with clothes that now the clothes she wears are in my closet, and the ones that don't fit are in her closet! My other SIL gave me 4 huge bins of newborn to 4T clothes for my daughter that her daughters wore or never even worn yet (but they're millionaires) so we were set on clothes. Yet she still buys those expensive baby boutique clothes! And my daughter has more pairs of shoes than I do! And the crop tops, big no. Kids need to be kids.

@Clarissa I hate how they don’t understand when we say enough is enough 🥲 it’s stressful And I said the same thing and she keeps saying “a under shirt comes with it” that means nothing to me it’s a crop top either way

Crop tops for kids give me the biggest ick 🤢 like why are people trying to force a baby to dress like their a teenager or young adult.

@Areyana ‼️‼️‼️ and she really tryna make it seem like it’s okay

Oh ick I would flat out tell her that it's disgusting that she tries to force your child into adult clothes when she's a child. Trying to force her into clothes literally designed for adults to be wearing is gross. To force that on a child could almost come across as predatory......

@Areyana she sincerely don’t give a fuck and it’s sad
