My birthday

So my family keeps asking what I’m doing for my birthday this year and I keep telling them nothing since my son should be here and I need to focus on him. They say I shouldn’t start neglecting myself for the baby. What would you do?

It’s your birthday and you can celebrate it how you want too. I’m doing my baby moon/birthday together. Also I wanted to do something for it since it’s my last year before a baby.

It’s your birthday but yes make it for yourself, but remember to keep yourself as Priority 😊 it’s not neglecting your LO. It’s sounds hard as a mom, but one tip to remember is like when you board a plane and safety tips. (Always put your oxygen mask on first before helping others)

@Jenna thank you. I need to hear that

@KP thank you it’s just that my baby is due after my birthday but he might come before my birthday due to medical reasons so I just feel being at home with my son will be best

@Elizabeth if what you want to do is be at home, then that is totally your prerogative! Hell, I've spent many birthdays at home without a baby because all I wanted to do was relax and not plan damn thing! And if the birth is close to your birthday, you may not be up for anything big anyways. Maybe think about what would make it special for you.... Ask someone to bring you a nice dinner / dessert ..... Or your partner to give you some alone time in a Bath.... Or tell them that you're effing exhausted, and this year you'll celebrate your half birthday!

@Courtney that is so true thank you

@Elizabeth if that’s the case, let’s say on the day you don’t feel up to going out that’s okay too, stay home and treat yourself to some self love and self care 🥰 pamper yourself cause you’re going to be a new mama and you deserve it
