As always, do you own research and talk to your OBGYN, but I recommend waiting the full 8 weeks for any type of vaginal penetration! That being said, there’s no stopping you guys from being intimate in other ways! But your uterus needs time to heal the dinner plate size wound from your placenta detaching! And it takes several WEEKS for your organs to move back into place so letting your man bang the hell out of you (fun as it may be 😉) may not feel so great afterwards!

You could try some non-penetrative things together! From my understanding and experience external fun is okay to do during healing. Just be gentle with yourself still!

I'm feeling the same way 😩 still have 4 weeks to go and I definitely don't feel ready for it yet but I want to be. I'm going to wait the full 6 weeks though because I've had infection in my uterus before and it was so awful 😬

I waited. Even once the 6 weeks was up I was still extremely sore and sensitive so it didn’t feel as pleasant as I’d hoped. Eventually it did get better but also there’s A lot going on down there and it takes a while for it all to go back to normal. At least that’s been my experience and I didn’t want my man anywhere near me in that sense just because it was my first pregnancy and I had no idea all that was going to come from PP. it’s been a strange time but I would recommend taking a vaginal probiotic once you’re done with PP just to get everything back to normalcy. But that’s just my experience🫶🏻😅

@Elli what were some symptoms u had with the infection

@Cameron should I start the probiotic now or wait ?

@Nicole how far long in your PP journey are you? I started mine once the heavy bleeding stopped so around week 7! I take them daily just for up keep :) there’s different kinds and some you can insert inside twice a week and others you can take daily by the mouth

URO Vaginal Probiotics for Women... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BFCCXCF4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share This is the one I’m taking right now

My OBG told me about these a while back which I took for a bit twice a week and I never swore on a product before. It levels everything back out. It can also help with infections too or any type of discomfort/odor. It just keeps her healthy! https://a.co/d/ccjaFFT

@Cameron I’m 11 days in and my bleeding stopped

I would give your body some time before you do the inserts (but would HIGHLY recommend that after like a month and a half). But you could take the probiotics and see if it kinda quickens up the process in the mean time. I only say that because I stopped bleeding then would start again and stop. Then you may have some more discharge we just never know. Totally up to you but both products are phenomenal!

@Nicole my symptoms from the infection started out just as cramps and a general feeling of being unwell but over just a few days I was running a fever with chills that left me shaking, dizzy and weak enough it was hard to walk, so sick I couldn't keep anything down and in severe pain through my uterus and lower back. I couldn't even get out of bed

@Elli oh gosh, how long did it take to go away? What did they give you for the infection ?

@Nicole I was given an IV antibiotic and had to stay in the hospital overnight idk what all they gave me I was kinda out of it, I felt better after about a week or so
