My dad will go to the local butcher and ask for them to do the Aqeqah it and give us the meat. This meat is very blessed and good for you to consume. We did with my daughter and will do it again with no2 who is due soon in sha Allah. We will also do 1 abroad so my nana bhaji and aunts uncles can also enjoy there too as well as give some to the poor. We also shave babys hair both genders and make sure baby has a name by 7th day too. Hair shaved weight in gold is also given to charity-we dont weight it, as parents we just give an amount if money to charity-we use Ummah Welfare Trust (they also do aqeeqahs but not in UK)
