@Sharon did you do anything different between cycles or was that just the way it worked out for you?
I did 2 cycles! My First cycle we retrieved 25 eggs, only 8 mature and all fertilized, 3 made it to blast and 2 were PGT normal. For the second cycle, my doctor changed my medication dosages, based on how my body reacted to the first cycle, and we got better results, and I felt better overall too. My Second cycle we got 24 eggs, 12 mature, 10 fertilized, 5 made it to blast and all 5 were PGT normal! In all honestly, I was way more relaxed the second time around because I knew what to expect, and my body just responded a lot better to the change in medications dosages. Both cycles I was taking all the supplements my clinic recommended (C0Q10, vit D, vit E, prenatal)
@Sel amazing! Thank you so much for sharing.
My 4 collection cycles have been quite different in terms of how many eggs I’ve got (range from 6 to 20 eggs) but the actual outcome of day 5 PGTA tested embryos has been consistent at 1 or 2 per round. It is crazy how different cycles can give such different pattern of eggs retrieved/ fertilised etc even when using exactly same protocol
I used different meds for my second round it was about 4yrs ago though sorry I can't remember exactly what
@Helena agreed, fascinating. Glad to hear you got a few each round.
First round: 14 collected, 14 fertilised, 13 mature, 0 embryos made it Second round: 16 collected, 14 fertilised, 14 mature, 4 embryos made it
I’ve done 3 egg retrievals: 1st round : no down regulation, 2 eggs collected, 2 fertilised with ivf, 2 embryos but both didn’t work 2nd round: Estrogen priming the month before, 8 eggs collected, 5 fertilised with ivf, 3 embryos but didn’t work 3rd round: testosterone priming & norethisterone the month before, 9 eggs, 6 fertilised with Icsi, 2 embryos but these didn’t work either. Will be doing the same protocol as the 3rd round next for a 4th egg collection.
Huge difference for me, first epu got 6 eggs second got 29 eggs.
