Birth control can definitely help regulate your cycle. When I was younger I had period for three months then it stopped for three months and I got on birth control and it helped regulate everything I would definitely try it out for 6 months and see how it is

I have pcos, and taking contraceptives are just a bandaid with a whole other bunch of symptoms that can arrise.. I recommend hormone therapy or taking a pcos supplement. Itssnadjust your menstrual cycle naturally

I found out I had PCOS at 33 and it was the missing piece of the puzzle. Birth control can help regulate your cycle but it does not fix issues like underfueling or stress that may also cause irregular or missed periods. I wasn't getting a period on my own without birth control so my doctor put me on a progesterone challenge and that jumpstated my cycle.

I was diagnosed with PCOS and my doctor at the time actually put me on a tablet medication for diabetes type 2 which has the same sort of ingredients in to regulate cycles which baffled me at the time but it worked for me to not miss periods for months and that so the cycles were lasting from 30-35 days rather my usual which used to be about 45-50 days, it got to a point me and partner were paranoid I was pregnant every month even after using contraception at the time as we were only in our early 20’s and not ready for a baby then😂x

I dont know much about pcos but do have a lot of understanding of endo as I have it myself. Hormonal contraceptives help endo because they interrupt ovulation (or potentially stop it altogether for some people). With endo each time you ovulate the problem gets a little bit worse and so your symptoms keep worsening month by month. So anything that interrupts this cycle helps. However the best treatment for endo is laparoscopy surgery to remove the tissue causing the pain. X

Just wanted to say I’m going through this too 🩷

I find birth control to be just a band aid for a bigger issue . I have pcos as well and birth control only helped my issues for a month. I would suggest supplements for pcos before considering bc or other medication honestly . Supplements and a pcos friendly meal plan or pcos friendly foods .

Thank you girls i may look into other options as im thinking about a number 2 baby making as i have other health issues so im wanting try and work out how do figure things out

@Mariah that's how I got pregnant this time, I did the hormone therapy and 3 months later I was pregnant
