Birth control

So I’m currently on the implant it’s the one I went for as I’ve heard the pill give you clots and the depo is a risk factor for brain tumours I’m currently experiencing headaches almost everyday on it sometimes it’ll stop for a couple of days and then it’ll come back for about an hour maybe 2 and. Then go has anybody else had the same experience I’ve also been on my period for about 2 weeks with it does anyone know if the implant can also cause the same as the pill and depo?

@Kara it’s honestly the worst I feel for you, sometimes the headaches but sometimes they just feel like dull aches I keep worrying because of the clots and tumors you can get from other birth control, I also had preeclampsia when I was pregnant so I’m not sure if I still have it as you can get it for a year after and that causes headaches

Stop taking these things. They are poisons.

@Lav they help sometimes with periods

I've heard yes. Did you want for periods or pregnancy??

@Lav both but some of the research on them aren’t the best

@Kara it’s horrible hope your feeling okay I’m gonna make an appointment at the doctors and see what they say

I suffered regular migraines when on the implant and I would also have a period for 2 weeks, be off for a week and then back on again for another 2 weeks and this went on for 9 months. I got it removed in the end and I’m now on the injection which seems to be working great. Another option (if you’re looking to change contraception at all) is the coil. You can get a copper one (non hormonal) and I believe it lasts 5 years

@Kara they make my periods last like 2 weeks so longer time too. I have the implant too.
