Thank you very much for your reply. It is very much appreciated. The clinic we went today is the one in Kingston, called LOC i think that is the only one there. They told us also that it is our decision. The problem is my baby is now almost 15 months and we don’t really know if it is going to round by itself as he is turning around and around. Xx
Yes it's the same place we went to see! Oh gosh it's a really hard decision I know. Perhaps also check with a physiotherapist or another clinic to help you decide. This is a link for a place that I wanted to see: https://www.babyphysio.com/
Thank you very much. X
Hi Joana, our little one' s head was also quite flat on one side and we went to see a clinic in Kingston when he was 9 months. At that time they told us that his asymmetry is moderate so it was our decision if we wanted a helmet as he was still under 1. We decided not to and I have to say for us it was a good decision. His head rounded itself ( he is now 19 months) however we did make sure for some time that he sleeps mostly on the other side. There are also physiotherapist who specialized in plagiocephaly and can advise on treatments - sometimes it may be to do e.g. with stiffness in the neck. Either way I would definitely go and see someone to help you make the right decision. The clinic in Kingston we visited had a first consultancy for free. I know how horrifying it is as I was stressing about it a lot as well. Wishing you and your little one best of luck x
