Amazon wishlist gift

I created a wishlist on Amazon and have been following the instructions to claim the gift but it’s not working for me. When I add the selected gift to the basket that item should become £0 but instead it remains with the actual price. Any tips on how to do it?

Never worked for me, I contacted customer support at the end on the live chat and they told me to order it and pay for it and once I receive it to contact them again and they will issue a refund. Did that, got my refund the day after :)

You need to make sure that you’ve added eligible items for the £20 spend - it only works for things at qualify for the 15% discount and doesn’t include toys and a few other things

@Mairi that I have checked and what I am buying is a qualifying purchase. Did it work for you when you requested your gift?

Yeah, it didn’t work initially because I didn’t have the right things added but then got it to work after changing what I was ordering

And did you first complete the qualifying purchase and then requested the gift on a second basket? Or did you do it all on the same basket?

I tried it with some items from my wishlist and it didn’t work (even though I was adding direct from the wishlist), turns out I didn’t have eligible items in the basket, they have to be sold and distributed by Amazon (cannot be Amazon Warehouse) and be valued over £20, then it’ll work x

i tried so many times to do it and its never worked i’ve given up with it now🤣

Didn’t work for me - contacted customer support on chat, tried a discount code at checkout, also didn’t work. In the end they advised me to purchase the free gift in my basket along with qualifying wishlist items and contact them again when it was delivered and they refunded me the value of the free gift. Was straightforward and refund issued within a few hours
