Breastfeeding pillow

What are your thoughts/experiences on breastfeeding pillows? For my first, I just propped with other pillows or whatever was around but am considering getting one for my second. Any recommendations? Did anyone else make do without? Are they worth it?

I use mine all the time. For nursing, for bottle feeding and for tummy time. Infact she's nursing on it right now. Lol https://www.amazon.ca/Boppy-Original-Nursing-Positioner-Allover/dp/B07XLNFBZX/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?adgrpid=61472208696&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.173Wc6fqHXFNadYuR_Xp_z8GQ_X0aLjDNcrnCaM4jkv4kOfBCP51AFlmux2_G13G0RemYGYHavUiQvgyvYDKYj8m3uCiOFF_DC1zBDfQtY1MtG5mxTKNgONXasbKWSuGSuhE0MDmJ3ACJXNwyAFKCAvfl_e7vrfh3QvqCpzkiKFupJCMMjgf9XyxBuxr5Ljytjsy0uM_6iu9nLBdvgThyg.9QHm3mgFsKVnnThEmJnQrYB7lvX6lL3e1OCxsMlqDZg&dib_tag=se&hvadid=667099516531&hvdev=m&hvlocphy=9001492&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=17384624584336225425&hvtargid=kwd-297380384768&hydadcr=22538_13656796&keywords=boppy+pillow&qid=1714169552&sr=8-3

For me I didn’t like the boppy for bfing. I like it for other things though! Like tummy time and assisted sitting. I’ve heard good things about the breast friend pillow but I just use my maternity c shaped pillow. I have it configured so that I use half of it and the other half is just beside me. I just found it bigger and comfier for the couch. In bed I lay back or side lay. And out and about I use nothing.

I use the breast friend pillow at home and like it a lot as it is firm and I don't have to adjust the baby much. If I'm out, I don't use anything unless I'm at family's house where I just use normal couch pillows... much prefer the breast feeding pillow for what it's worth!

I’m using my nursing pillow right now :)) I was only using my arms to hold up my baby. I recently got the momcozy nursing pillow, because I thought maybe my arms are too bony and I’d dent the sides of my baby’s head (probably irrational fear but whatever lol). There’s a strap to attach around the waist so the pillow is more stable & moves with you which I LOVE. I only wish it was thicker because the baby’s head is always too low which makes me want to slouch down causing back pain. So I stuff a pillow or blanket under the nursing pillow to prop it up. All nursing pillows I’ve tried were too low for my preference.

I used one the whole time I breastfed till he was 1yo, I couldn’t hold him and my boob (they are too big/ unwieldy) so it was a must. For me I preferred the biggest one I could find

Breastfriend for newborn because it’s firm and straps on, and a C shaped one similar to above but from jolly jumper when my girl got older. It was too soft for a little baby. I still use it, she loves lying on it on my lap in the rocking chair before bed, she calls it her ‘Mama pillow’.

I got the my breast friend pillow but found it too cumbersome and barely used it. In the beginning I just used a dense pillow from my sofa.

Breast freind is the best because it clips around you and does not slip constantly like the boppy !

I also love the Brest Friend nursing pillow. It puts little man at the exact spot I need him, saving my wrists. And the back support is super nice. I have two other styles of nursing pillow, and this one is my favourite.

I used the pillow sometimes and it really helped when they were bigger and more awkward to hold but also helps when they smaller. But I also did it without a pillow. The pillow can also be used as a pillow to prop them up (and for putting them on their tummy) so really I would say it’s worth it!
