We got it and used it every night, until a couple weeks ago when baby turned 1 year old. For us, it was worth it, it helped a lot with peace of mind. I think opinions will vary depending on experience.
Agreed each to their own - in our experience we bought it and used it twice when bub was super small. If anything it just gave us anxiety lol so sold it!
Loveeeeee ours! I even used it for car journeys when I couldn’t be back there to check on her to ease my mind. The thing is just an extra layer of reassurance.

if i could have afforded it i would have definitely purchased one, i know it would have helped my anxiety. i ended up getting them snuza hero monitor which did help me tremendously, it’s not as fancy but it worked fine for us and gave me the piece of mind i needed
I have one and have used it since bringing my daughter home from the hospital. I absolutely love it for peace of mind.
We bought one when our babe was 1 to help with my anxiety. Still using now at 22 months. It’s is quite a bit of money but for my sanity it was worth every penny. We bought the set that has the socks for up to 5years through Very and was able to pay it off in a few months x
It has definitely helped my anxiety but I can also see how some mamas say it’s made theirs worse. Maybe purchase secondhand so if it’s not a good fit for you, and you can likely resell it for what you paid for it?
@Lucie we also bought the one that lasts until they’re 5 years old. Can I ask how long you think you’ll use it for please? As in what age? Only reason I’m asking is because we planned to take it off my LB (26 months) and give to his newborn sister but I can’t bring myself to take the sick from him and think I might just buy a second sock for the new baby 🙈 my partner thinks I’m mad making him wear the sock so old x
I wouldn’t be able to sleep without ours! But I think I’m abnormally anxious 🤦🏼♀️ x
I started using the Owlet sock when my daughter went into her own room (around 6 months old) and i honestly could not recommend it more! It gives me SUCH peace of mind and i dont check the stats or anything on the app nowadays (she's 15 months now) and haven't done for a long time now. We didn't get on with it when she was first born. I don't know whether it was because her feet were too small or we weren't putting it on right but it would always go off to say "sock not in place" and would drive us mad, especially on lack of sleep! But, i was a nervous wreck about her going into her own room so the Owlet eased my mind no end and we finally got the hang of the placement fitting in the end!
@Carys I’m planning on using it until he maxes it out. He’s currently got a medical issue which can cause sleep apnea issues so for my peace of mind we will continue using it. We are thinking of having another baby and I’d purchase another sock (same that goes up to 5years) for the baby too x
I’ll be honest i was so sure on buying one and my daughter is 6.5 weeks old and i’ve never even touched it 🥲 i think to each their own so only you can decide if it’s worth it. others say it gives them peace of mind and others would say it’s a waste. In a true emergency it would help so i think it’s kind of a precautionary thing…
