Was my medicine changed too late?

I was diagnosed hypothyroidism 10 years ago and went to the obgyn for my first appointment at 8 weeks and couldnt get my results ot increase my medication until about 9 week. Was this too late to increase my meds in the first trimester? Nothing online has been helpful. My doc said my thyroid was not off enough to cause an impact but I’m worried she just doesn’t want to stress me out
