Adoption Agencies for Singles

I recently started my adoption journey and boy are some people mean! I would think with how diverse family structures are today, you wouldn't have partiality to singles. However I'm running into some issues with finding a placing agency. The ones who are supportive and actually nice to singles are full, not accepting applicants for the foreseeable future. The others who claim to be open to singles are not, they say either we don't have much luck with them or you're single, I doubt you could raise the money required for the fees. When I tried to explain grants, fundraising and adoption tax credit, they didn't want to hear it. One of them is actually my homestudy provider. I'm thinking of changing homestudy providers. If you are this critical and negative about adoption then maybe you're not the fit for me. But I already paid, a lot. ☹️ Anyone else had struggles like these?

I am as frustrated as you are. I am finding that the adoptive family profiles are heavy with couples. I can't imagine that there are so few singles looking to adopt. Are they really full or do they not want to feature singles. They also say it takes longer. Makes me think I might have to supplement with my own network. I haven't signed up with an agency so far but in the next month or so I plan to decide.
