TCM warm food suggestion when TTC

Has anyone tried to or strictly followed the “eat warm foods” recommendation of TCM while TTC and conceiving? I’ve been given this advice by my acupuncturist but I think it might be stressing me out more than necessary. It’s nearly impossible to have an all warm, healthy, and cooked meal being a busy person. I even love to cook and eat healthy and it’s challenging! Also doesn’t seem to be helping me to conceive…

(Currently making myself a healthy but cold breakfast of organic probiotic yogurt, organic grain free granola, and organic berries…and feeling guilty!)

I am with you on this! My acupuncturist told me the same thing and it’s proven to be more challenging than excluding gluten at this point. She said soups, stews, and stir frys will be my best friend but I’m so tired of all of those already. I did buy a thermos to bring food to work since she also told me not to microwave anything. Long story short, I’ve decided that I’m just going to try my best and not let it stress me out anymore. I do think it’s helping me be more mindful about my nutrition but I’m not convinced that it’s going to make or break it for me. I hope you can find what works for you and let the stress of it go.

Thank you both @Maz and @Alex ! Yeah all these things just feel like at some point it’s got to be counterproductive to be stressed about it. Not to mention that my gyno is telling me not to lose weight (I’m average weight for height) and this super healthy eating is great but can typically push me below average. Maz- really interesting and good to know about the cold food before lunch being ok. I got a book called “it starts with the egg” but the cookbook version and it has all kinds of cold food and smoothies. Just silly how there’s so much conflicting info. Alex- completely agree with your pov and taking the stress out of it. I know everyone looking to help means well but geesh!

I find it very hard to ‘eat warm food’. There are times I felt guilty for having yoghurt and berries. ‘Yoghurt’ = dampness.
