Hey Dana 🙂 cycle changes are often one of the first flags that you're moving into perimenopause. I didn't have periods (yay!)thanks to my Mirena coil, so had to go.on other symptoms. Your cycle might go totally haywire along the journey to actual menopause,longer, shorter, lighter heavier... I think that's one of the big pluses of the Mirena coil. No periods jumping out and yelling SURPRIIIISE!! 😁❤

Yes my cycle has shortened.. Interestingly ,my otherwise short cycle got delayed by 15 days once every year for last two years . The only silver lining was that the delay happened both years in March during our annual vacation ... So while I had to carry my stuff with me, I never really had to use it during our vacations....voila
It is, and also doubles up as the progesterone element of HRT. As you need to take care of birth control too (up to the age of 55 is recommended), it makes sense for many women... ❤
